BallStat ("we", "us", "our") is an anonymous-first sports trivia game. You can play without creating an account or providing personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what limited data we do collect and how we use it.
To personalize your experience, we create an anonymous guest profile stored locally in your browser. This includes a username handle, optional display name, and an emoji or optional photo avatar. If you upload a profile photo, it is stored to display your avatar across the app. You can clear this at any time from your browser or in-app settings.
If you contact us through our form, subscribe to our newsletter, or register an account, we collect the email address you provide. We use it only to respond to you and, if you subscribed, to send product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time. We never sell your email to third parties.
Purchasing Pro Mode is processed by Base44 Payments (powered by Wix). We never see or store your full card details — those are handled directly by the payment processor. We retain only the transaction result and the email you enter at checkout, used to link your Pro access to your profile.
We use your browser's local storage and session storage to keep you logged in, remember your guest profile, and preserve in-game progress during a session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Game rooms, player scores, chat messages, and career progress are stored so the game functions and so you can resume and share results. Anonymous game scores and stats may be shown on public leaderboards and ranks. Survey and poll answers are submitted anonymously. Game rooms and their chat are kept only while the room is active; your profile and progress data is retained while your account is active and is deleted when you delete your account.
BallStat is designed for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
We use Base44 (app hosting and database), Wix/Base44 Payments (payments), and optional sharing integrations such as Discord and Slack that you initiate yourself. These services have their own privacy policies governing any data they process.
You may play fully anonymous as a guest. You can clear your local guest profile from your browser settings. Registered users can delete their account and data at any time from Settings → "Delete My Account & Data" — this immediately removes your profile, badges, points, career progress, and purchase records. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR and CCPA may also give you rights to access, correct, or export your data; contact us to exercise those rights.
